21 Days /20 Nights Kerala + Tamilnadu

DAY 01 - CHENNAI
Chennai :- Upon arrival at Chennai, our Executive will meet you at the Airport followed by transfer from Airport to Hotel. Afternoon for a half day city tour of Chennai visiting - Government museum, St.Thomas Churcsh, Kapaleshwar Temple, Fort St. George & Museum and to end with a visit to the chennai boast Marina beach. (Overnight at hotel in Chennai)

DAY 02- MAHABALIPURAM
Mamallapuram :- Check out from the hotel after breakfast and we drive to reach the laid back beach town of Mamallapuram. Enroute sight seeing tour of Kanchipuram visiting - Varadaraja perumal temple (dedicated to god Vishnu), Ekambareshwar temple (houses the 3500yrs old mango tree) & Kailasanathar temple (dedicated to god Shiva). A lunch at the south Indian restaurant (Saravanabhavan) while in Kanchipuram will give you the real taste of south Indian delicacy.

Later proceed to reach Mamallapuram. On arrival check in to hotel and then on for sight seeing tour of Mamallapuram visiting - 'The Arjuna`s Penance' (Bass Relief), 'Five rathas' (symbolises equality of men & women) & the famous 'Shore temple'. Apart from the above said monuments we also visit many other cave temples. Later check in to hotel and rest of the day free for own activities/leisure on the beach. (Overnight at hotel in Mamallapuram).

DAY 03- TANJORE
Tanjore :- Check out from hotel after early breakfast and drive to Tanjore - The Chola Citadel. Enroute visits temples of "Gangaikonda Cholapuram"(famous Shiva temple) with its beautiful high towers full with many small sculptures depicting stories of old epics and "Darasuram" temple (built in memory of the White elephant - AIRAVATH from the gods family), the temple has its original name as "Airavatheshwar temple".

Onward proceed to reach Tanjore. On arrival check in to hotel and later for sight seeing of Tanjore visiting - famous Brihadeshwara temple (dedicated to lord shiva in the form of Linga) & The Palace Museum. (Overnight at hotel in Tanjore).

DAY 04 - TRICHY
Trichy :- Departing the hotel after breakfast, drive to Trichy - a town situated on the banks of river Cauvery. On arrival at Trichy sight seeing tour visiting - "Sriranganathaswami temple" at Srirangam - The most revered of the 108 pilgrimage shrines of Vishnu, and the largest temple complex in all India. The temple is famous in the name as Srirengam, name of the town as such because the town of Srirangam lies within the boundary wall of the temple.

Onward visit to "Sri Jambukeshwara Temple" at Thivanaikoil. The temple signifies the one of the five elements "Water" and we can see water oozing out near the Shivalinga idol in the temple. Later visit the "Rockfort temple". A 437 rock cut steps will reach you the top, where in is the shrine of the god Ganesh. (Overnight at hotel in Trichy).

DAY 05 - MADURAI
Madurai :- Check out from hotel and drive to Madurai. Madurai is known to be one of the oldest cities in south India. On arrival check in to hotel and then on for a sight seeing tour of Madurai visiting - the famous "Meenakshy temple" where in you can experience the real south Indian temple, different people & way of worships etc…Later visit the Tirumalai Nayak palace.

Return to hotel and after dinner once again visit Meenakshy temple for the ceremony with a fanfare, where the god Shiva is lead to the bedroom of his wife, Meenakshi. Madurai is also a great place to look for bronze statues, carpets or other souvenirs (Overnight at hotel in Madurai).

DAY 06 – RAMESHWARAM
Rameshwaram :- After break fast drive to Rameshwaram .Rameshwaram is one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations in India.No pilgrimage is over with out taking a trip to this holy island of Rameshwaram.Most noted attractions of rameshwaram are the many temples that bejewel this holy land.. overnight stay in Rameshwaram

Day 07- KANYAKUMARI
Kanyakumari – Morning after breakfast drive to Kanyakumari. Kanyakumari is the land where the three seas meet together. Visit Vivekananda Rock Temple, a memorial to great Indian philosopher and reformist, Thiruvallavur Statue, dedicated to Tamil classical writer and Gandhi Museum, memorial to the father of the nation etc in Kanyakumari. overnight stay at hotel at Kanyakumari

Day 08- KOVALAM
Kovalam – After breakfast drive to Kovalam Enroute visit the famous Padmanabhapuram Palace at Thucklay, the abode of erstwhile Travancore State., suchindram temple etc. On arrival at Kovalam check into hotel. Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach destination. Kovalam has been a favorite haunt of tourists for decades. Rest of the day to explore the beach. Overnight at hotel in Kovalam

DAY 14 – KOVALAM – TRIVANDRUM – KOVALAM
After breakfast, have city tour of Trivandrum – visit Sree Padmanabha Swami Temple, the foremost attraction in Trivandrum Kuthira Malika Palace Museum, known for its Travancore style of architecture, Napier Museum, houses a rare collection or archaeological and historical artifacts, Sree Chitra Art Gallery, displays paintings and other exquisite works etc. Overnight at the hotel in Kovalam

DAY 15 –ALLEPPEY
1200 hrs: We board our houseboat at the Alleppey jetty as we set sail.

The backwaters of Kerala offer an enchanting experience of fun and relaxation and a chance to see authentic local life; a world of coconut trees, shallow lakes, deep canals and long boats…. No traffic jams, no noise; only nature's marvels on display. In earlier times, the canals provided the easiest and cheapest means of communication when road travel was almost non - existent.

Even today, much of the travel in Kerala is via the backwaters. Sailing down a maze of canals one sees different scenes of the village life during the cruise. Lunch is onboard the houseboat prepared for us by our personal crew.Enjoy dinner under the star lit night on board the houseboat.Overnight is on board the Houseboat.

DAY 16- KUMARAKOM
Alleppey - Kumarokam :- Breakfast. Drive to Kumarokam . On arrival transfer to the hotel. PM. enjoy back water cruise. Over night at hotel.Kumarakom is undoubtedly the most invigorating, fascinating paradise in Kerala, God's own country. The slender coconut palms standing here, there and everywhere, its never ending paddy fields, meandering lagoons and backwaters, mangroves nesting birds of a hundred varieties can peacefully calm and invigorate your mind with renewed inspiration for your vocation and life. That is the pristine beauty of Kumarakom.

DAY 17- THEKKADY
Kumarakom – Thekkady Breakfast. Drive to Periyar.On arrival transfer to the hotel. PM. boat ride at Lake Periyar. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary has very picturesque surroundings. The reservoir and the surrounding forests provide protection and a constant supply of water to the animals.

Periyar or Thekkady : Located in central Kerala, is a popular hill station and a wildlife centre. This town, which is an important plantation centre, conjures up images of elephants, unending chains of hills and spice scented plantations . Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 18 – MUNNAR
Thekkady – Munnar - Breakfast. Drive to Munnar. On arrival transfer to the hotel. PM. visit Munnar. Over night at hotel.

Munnar : breathtakingly beautiful - a haven of peace and tranquility - the idyllic tourist destination in God's own country.Set at an altitude of 6000 ft in Idukki district, Munnar was the favored summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in the colonial days. Unending expanse of tea plantations - pristine valleys and mountains- exotic species of flora and fauna in its wild sanctuaries and forests - aroma of spice scented cool air - yes! Munnar has all these and more. It's the place you would love to visit - it's the place you would wish never to leave.

DAY 19- MUNNAR
Munnar :- Breakfast. Tour of Munnar includs visit to Tea Museum,Eravikulam national park and market visit.

DAY 20- COCHIN
Munnar - Cochin :- After breakfast drive to Cochin.Pm-City tour of Cochin.Cochin also known as "Queen of Arabian Sea" due to its natural harbour being one of the finest. The Chinese fishing nets swaying in the breeze over the back waters, the Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, Portugese Architecture and British Incluences, all blending harmoniously with the basic Kerala heritage testify that the rulers of cochin traded goods as well as knowledge with the visitors from far off lands.

Kochi ( Cochin ) : With its wealth of historical associations and its beautiful setting on a cluster of islands and narrow peninsulas , the interesting city of Kochi reflects the eclecticism of Kerala perfectly. Here , you can see the oldest churches in India, winding streets crammed with 500 years-old Portuguese houses , cantilevered Chinese fishing nets, a Jewish community whose roots go back to the Diaspora, 1 16th century synagogue , a palace built by the Portuguese, (later renovated by the Dutch).The older parts of Fort Cochin and Mattancherry are an unlikely blend of medieval Portugal , Holland and an English country village grafted onto the tropical malabar Coast . Kochi is also one of India's largest ports.

DAY 21- COCHIN DEPARTURE
After breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to hotel and railway station for flight/train back home
